How To Make a Complaint

Complaints Procedure

At St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School, we are committed to working in close partnership with parents and carers. We hope that any concerns can be addressed quickly and positively through open communication. However, should you wish to make a complaint, there are established procedures that must be followed.

Complaints Relating to the Curriculum or Religious Worship

Under current education legislation, parents and carers have the right to make a complaint if they believe the school is not providing all aspects of the National Curriculum or meeting its requirements regarding Religious Education and Collective Worship.

If you wish to raise a complaint of this nature, please contact the Headteacher in the first instance, who will advise you on the appropriate procedure and next steps.

Complaints Relating to Other Matters

We hope that most concerns can be resolved informally and at an early stage. Parents and carers are encouraged to discuss any issues with the relevant member of staff, either:

  • In person
  • By telephone
  • In writing
  • By email

Many concerns can be addressed promptly through discussion, clarification or by agreeing an appropriate course of action.

Where a complaint cannot be resolved informally, it should be raised formally and will be managed in accordance with the school's  Complaints Policy.

Full details of the school's complaints procedures can be found in our Complaints Policy, which is available on the Policies page of our website.
