  • Mini Vinnies

At St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School, our Mini Vinnies are a wonderful group of children who put their faith into action by helping others and making a positive difference in our school, parish and wider community.

The Mini Vinnies are the junior branch of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) and are led by Mr Hawes and Mrs Kendrick. Made up of pupils from across the school, the group meets regularly to discuss ways they can support those in need and live out our Catholic values through service, compassion and kindness.

Guided by the Mini Vinnies motto, "Turning Concern into Action", the children organise and lead a variety of charitable and community events throughout the year. They work closely with St. Patrick's Parish and play an important role in strengthening the links between our school, church and local community.

Some of their recent activities have included:

    • Hosting the Retired Parishioners' Tea Party
    • Supporting parish fundraising events
    • Leading charitable collections and appeals
    • Organising events for local, national and international charities
    • Promoting Catholic Social Teaching across the school
    • Supporting the Poor Clares Myanga Mission

Through their work, the Mini Vinnies develop leadership, confidence, teamwork and a deeper understanding of how they can make a difference in the lives of others.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to serving others. The Mini Vinnies are excellent role models who truly embody our Mission Statement:

"We work, we love, we learn, we pray, we spread the Gospel message every day."
