Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At St. Patrick's Catholic Primary School, we believe that every child is a unique and valued individual who deserves a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.

We are committed to ensuring that all children are able to thrive, achieve their potential and feel fully included in every aspect of school life. We recognise that some children may require additional support at different stages of their education, and we work hard to identify and respond to these needs as early as possible.

We believe it is the collective responsibility of the whole school community to ensure a consistent and inclusive approach to meeting the needs of all pupils. Through high-quality teaching, targeted support and appropriate interventions, we aim to provide every child with access to a broad and balanced curriculum and opportunities to participate fully in school life.

Working in Partnership

We recognise that parents and carers know their children best and are key partners in the educational journey. We work closely with families to identify needs, plan appropriate support and review progress regularly.

Where appropriate, we also work alongside a range of external agencies and professionals who can provide specialist advice, guidance and support. These may include:

• Occupational Therapists
• Health Professionals
• Family Support Services
• Local Authority SEND Teams

By working together, we strive to ensure that every child receives the support they need to flourish both academically and personally.
